Tip of the Week #7- Change Chart colors in Reports

Did you know you can customize the colors you see in your reports? ๐Ÿ“ˆ You can set an entirely new color palette that matches your companyโ€™s brand or preferences, and you can also set colors for specific fields.

๐ŸŽจ CUSTOM COLOR PALETTE

Reports โ†’ Settings โ†’ Color Palette Settings
Select the Custom Theme option, and then click on each color to change it to your preferred color. Gainsight will use these colors in reports chronologically from left to right, so you will see the first color most frequently.

๐Ÿ“Š CUSTOM FIELD COLORS

Reports โ†’ Settings โ†’ Custom Colors
Click Map Colors and find the field you want to customize, then choose colors for specific values. For example, if you have a boolean field you can set custom colors for true, false, and null.

๐ŸŒŸ BONUS TIP

For dropdown lists, you can set default colors by going to Data Management โ†’ Dropdowns and clicking on the dropdown name. You will see a Color that you can click on and change for each value.

This is really helpful in situations where you use a dropdown in more than one field - for example, if you have a dropdown for Red/Yellow/Green, set the colors in the dropdown itself and those colors will appear for any field using the dropdown.
